The Wind Has Shifted - in collaboration with Hilary Dodd

In a way, one cannot appreciate the concept of beauty without experiencing the wonder of decay. Perhaps we find ourselves seeking out experiences that make us feel human, provoking a newfound recognition and understanding for the value of life.

The Wind Has Shifted merges the practices of artists, Yumemi Hiraki and Hilary Dodd, creating an arena for deep and sensorial explorations. Illustrating the link between life and decay, they draw attention to ones emotional state, as they experience the spectrum between serenity and unrest. The focus on movements and textures in their material investigations and processes resonate a sense of nostalgic memory, history and distress. The concrete yet dynamic and ephemeral approach to these concepts see comfort and discomfort, past and present, happiness and sorrow, simultaneously apparent, connecting and detaching.
